BPBD Shares Disaster Information via Telegram

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) currently has a telegram channel to provide disaster information that is beneficial to the community.

We share the information to improve disaster preparedness and awareness in the community

To access the information, residents could download the Telegram application and entered the keyword @bpbddkijakarta in the search field or open https://t.me/bpbddkijakarta.

Jakarta BPBD Disaster Information and Data Processing Unit Head Michael Sitanggang said the information shared in this channel was related to the water level (TMA), weather forecast, weather early warnings, high surf warnings, and chronology of rising water levels at floodgates.

BPBD Prepares Quick Response Team to Reduce Potential Disasters in Jakarta

"We share the information to improve disaster preparedness and awareness in the community in responding to various potential disasters," he explained, Thursday (4/14).

According to him, the information was updated regularly every day, thus people could find out the latest conditions related to disasters in Jakarta.

"We encourage people to join the channel thus together we can adverse the impacts of hazards related to the disaster," he stated.
